Petoskey News-Review, Monday, June 10, 1968
John P. Bodzick, 69, of Lark's Lake, died Saturday afternoon. A requiem mass will be celebrated by Rev. Father Flabius Czuba, O. F. M. Wednesday at 10 a.m. from St. Nicholas Church , at Lark's Lake. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
Born July 22, 1899, in Pennsylvania, he came to the Lark's Lake area in 1906 and married Jennie Wiklanski at St. Nicholas Church, June 28, 1926.
He moved to Chicago at that time and returned to Lark's Lake in 1947, where he farmed.
Mr. Bodzick served in the U.S. Army in 1919.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Raymond, of Harbor Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Eleanor) Serva, of Cross Village; 11 grandchildren; three brothers; Alex, Resort township, Stanley, Levering and Joseph, of Harbor Springs and two sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Johnson, Gary, Indiana and Mrs. Mary Muchala, of Chicago, Illinois.
The rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where friends may call.
